The healing world of semi-precious stones - AGATE

AGATE

Considered a protective stone and a symbol of good luck, agate is a fascinating gemstone with a long and illustrious history dating back to the ancient Babylonians, Greeks and Romans. From the beginning, it was valued as much for its spiritual power as for its outstanding beauty.

Colour

Hardly any other healing stone can convince with its colours like agate, because it is available in all colours of the rainbow.

Healing effect / body

Agate is of great importance for gemstone therapy and also belongs to the stone medicine of Hildegard von Bingen. In the area of the internal organs, it has a strengthening effect on the sexual organs and thus on reproduction. Therefore, it is also considered a protective stone for the expectant life during pregnancy.

Hildegard von Bingen used it for injured and rough skin. For skin inflammations and insect bites, it is best applied directly to the affected skin area. It also promotes the health of the various circulatory systems in the human body (blood, nerve and lymph channels).

Last but not least, agate is also used for sick or tired eyes. Here it is recommended to place two agate discs on the closed eyes.

Healing effect / Soul

Agate also influences all processes of growth and maturity in the spiritual sphere. Those who want to put plans and ideas into action should always carry this stone with them. Agate strengthens self-confidence and dispels doubts, thus promoting our power of self-healing. But agate is also a stone that supports its wearer in withdrawing into his or her own ego and thus enables better concentration on external things through distance.

Stone care

  • Discharge the stone once a month under warm running water.

  • Exposure to sunlight increases its energy.

With love
